We undertake precise measurements of elemental concentrations (both cations and anions) of soil and pore water samples collected before and after deployment of hari mati to determine CO₂ removal.
Additionally, we also employ radiogenic and metal stable isotopic measurements to accurately fingerprint the source of the cations in the soil.
Our geochemical model shows us how quickly our rock weathers and how much CO₂ we can expect to be locked away over time.
